By 1930 they had moved to 822 West 54th St (probably Visitation Parish) John (b No Ire) was working for a Freight Express Co. He was 35 and had immigrated in 1922.
Elizabeth was employed as a maid for a hotel. They had one more son, Joseph, age 4y3m b Illinois. The adopted son, age 15, was now known as James N. Caffrey. Ellen is now called Eileen. John and Kathleen are still at home.
Elizabeth died in 1973 Chicago Tribune, May 27, 1973

Daughter Eileen Wagner died June 29, 1974 Kenny Bros to St Clare of Montelalco. Interment St Mary's children Maureen (Larren) Holdren and Jay (Mary) Wagner.
adopted son James N Caffrey died Aug 1986 (obit Aug 17) No children. Matz Funeral Home to St Bartholomew Church to St Mary Cemetery.
