Edward METCALF, pictured ca. 1880 was born in 1822, Ballymurtaugh, County
Wicklow, Ireland. His parents were: Peter METCALF and Elisabeth "Bess" HENSE[?].
Edward married 1st Jane CAIN/KANE in Chippewa Co. Michigan, USA, 1848.They
settled in New Diggings, Lafayette County, Wisconsin and had two children. His
2nd marriage was to Margaret DAVIS of GALWAY,IRE. They had 11 children.
Edward METCALF d. 11 June 1900 and is buried in Evergreen Cemetery,
Shullsburg,Wisconsin, USA.
