Troy, of Durlacher Street, and formerly of the dredge Sir William Matthews. The deceased's death occurred in the St. John of God Hospital and was not unexpected, as he had been in failing health for the past two years. Only a little before that time he was captain of the dredge, Sir William Matthews, in Geraldton, and in that capacity was well known to a wide circle of friends in the town. In addition to his wife the deceased gentleman leaves a family of three daughters and seven sons to mourn their loss, one daughter being Sister Lucy, of St Joseph's Convent, Fremantle. The funeral took place yesterday at the Roman Catholic portion of the Utakarra cemetery. Additional Comments: Patrick William Troy was the son of Patrick Troy and Ellen Leahy Troy. He was born in New Ross on 27 May 1866. His father Patrick Troy was born in Dublin and stationed in New Ross with the RIC. His mother was of the Kilkenny Leahy's, her father being John Leahy, Hotelier. CApt Troy married Hilda Winifred Ainsworth in Melbourne in 1904. The family later moved to Western Australia.
