His daughter Eleanor (without hat) and grandson George Collins are pictured with him on his front porch on Chicago's near Southside. The woman with the hat is Nrs. McKenzie, a neighbor. Additional Comments: William, his parents John Ivory and Mary Lyons Ivory, his two brothers Thomas and John and two sisters Bridget Ann and Mary, came from Co. Waterford (and I believe the city as well) in 1825. They went first to Quebec and about 1850 to Brooklyn, NY. William, having served in the Civil War, married Ellen Corcoran, also of Waterford, and moved west, working as a sailor, through Michigan, ending up in Chicago. The remainder of his family stayed in Brooklyn where they are buried.
