Freemans Journal September 22, 1849
From the Freeman's Journal-Sept 22nd 1849.

A correspondent who dates his letter, Clogan, September 10th has furnished
us with a list of evictions from the property of the Earl of Ross, a
landlord said to be worth 34,000/., a year.

The following are the names of the persons evicted, with the numbers of
individuals in each family, and the number of acres held by each.

The town land of Newtown.

William Kelly, 6 in family, with 12 acres.

James Lynch, 6 in family, with 12 acres.

Stephen Kelly, 8 in family, with 6 acres.

Widow Sullivan, 4 in family, with 6 acres.

The town land of Faddin.

Richard Daly, 7 in family, with 7 acres.

Bryan Fitzpatrick, 10 in family, with 2 acres.

Tom Fitzpatrick, 6 in family, with 8 acres.

Dan Fitzpatrick, 10 in family, with 2 acres.

Pat Kenny, 6 in family, with 2 acres.

Widow Fitzpatrick, 4 in family, with a ½ acre.

James Duffy, 2 in family, 2 ½ acres.

Michael Fitzpatrick, 7 in family, with 6 acres.

Martin Daly, 6 in family, with 4 acres.

The Sheriff and his men I Clonboniff and Clonlyon today continue the "good
work". They are to evict more families, besides the above of Dernlough and
Sumpleton the day after.
