With the exception of a couple of quite modern white marble crosses, erected to the memory of members of the Medlicott family, ther is only one inscribed tombstone in the burial-ground. The inscription on this tombstone reads:— IHS This Stone is Erected by Iohn Downey in memory of his Father Hugh Downey, who departed this life ye 14th of April 1779. Aged 85 years. And also in memory of his Brother Patrick Downey who departed this life ye 10th of May 1780 Aged 47 years.
