THOMAS DRUMMOND is the only person interred here | (N.B.  THOMAS
DRUMMOND was born in Edinburgh, Scotland in 1797, the second of three
sons.  In 1824 he was transferred to the new Ordnance Survey of Ireland
and here he used the new 'Drummond light' in surveying.  He left Ireland
for a short while returning in 1835.  He was appointed Irish under-
secretary, heading up administration in Dublin Castle, a position he
held from 1835 until his death in 1840.  He was held in high regard by
the Irish.) Grave Reference:  C90 – Grant 323
