DONNYBROOK CEMETERY JULY 15, 2015

This graveyard's origins are linked to a Celtic religious
movement associated with a holy woman named brock. The area
name of Donnybrook or Domknack Broc, meaning Church of Broc,
comes from this association. In the 1700s an established
Church of Ireland church and a Roman Catholic chapel were
Built here and remains of these buildings are still to be
found. The entrance archway was erected in 1893 by the
Dublin Stock Exchange. There are 7000 recorded burials with
the last taking place in 1936.
