Henry Hassan, Master Mariner, born 1872 Bangor, died 1917. Known as Harry. Son
of Alexander Hassan c1838-1919 Bangor and Elizabeth Harrison b
1848 Co Down.  Husband of Elizabeth Donnan, born 1866 Crossgar, Co Down.
Henry was taken prisoner on board a German U boat in July 1917.  The sub was
later sunk by a British warship and all aboard perished.  Photograph taken in
Brooklyn, New York, date unknown.
