This is the last Will and Testament of me Mary McGladery of
Drumatinagg in the County of Donegal Widow I will and direct
that all my just debts funeral and testamentary expences be
paid and satisfied by my Executors hereinafter named I give
devise and bequeath unto Bridget Harkin my house and Farm in
Drumatinag where I reside with all my household furniture
stock crop and farming implements and also the sum of £50 I
leave and bequeath the sum of £30 to be equally divided
among the children of John Harkin that may be living at the
time of my death I leave and bequeath to my brother Francis
Rogers £100 and to his wife Elizabeth Rogers £100 to be paid
upon her sole and separate receipt I leave to my Nephew
Charles Rogers £100 and to my Nephew John Rogers £100 I
leave and bequeath to Thomas Rogers who is at present in
America the sum of £50 I leave and bequeath to Sarah Rogers
wife of my brother Charles Rogers the sum of £200 to be paid
upon her sole and separate receipt I leave to Charles
McGladery the sum of £50 and to Margaret McGladery £20 to
Eleanor Mohan I leave £10 to Mary Ann Rogers £10 to
Catherine Ward £20 to Margaret Gallagher £10 and to Margaret
Boyle otherwise McCanon I leave the sum of £10 I leave and
bequeath to Francis Rogers and Charles Rogers my  brothers
the sum of £350 in trust to invest the same in good and
sufficient security and to pay to my Niece Maria Boyle the
Interest of £300 of said sum during her life and if she
marries with the consent of my said Trustees then said sum
of £300 I direct shall be settled in such manner as my
Trustees shall deem prudent and in the event of her not
being married she may dispose of the said sum of £300 by her
last Will and Testament as she may think proper I leave and
bequeath to Elizabeth Boyle to be paid her at such times and
in such manner as my said Trustees shall deem prudent I
leave to the Parish Priest of Templecrone the sum of £15 to
the Parish Priest of Tullaghleeghy the sum of £10 to the
Parish Priest of Lettermackaward the sum of £10 to the
Parish Priest of Templamore residing in Londonderry the sum
of £5 To the Reverend Mr Doherty Chaplain to the Convent in
Londonderry the sum of £5 for the purpose of saying Masses
for my Soul and that of my late husband  and to the Parish
Priest of Templecrone I leave the sum of £5 to be
distributed as he may think proper amongst the poor of said
Parish Should my property not be sufficient to pay aforesaid
Legacies in full then my Will is that each Legacy shall be
rateably reduced I leave to my brother Charles Rogers my
Silver Service consisting of a Sugar bowl Egg stand and my
late husband's gold watch & chain I leave my own gold watch
and chain and all my wearing apparel to my Niece Maria Boyle
I leave to my brother Francis Rogers my Tea Urn and Caudle
branches and my Silver Coffee Pot and all my remaining Plate
and Plated Ware I direct to be equally divided between my
brothers Francis & Charles Rogers I leave and bequeath all
the rest residue and remainder of my property whatsoever and
wheresoever both real and personal unto my said brother
Charles Rogers and I nominate and appoint my said brothers
Francis Rogers and Charles Rogers Executors of this my Will
In witness whereof I the said Mary McGladery have to this my
last Will and Testament set my hand the 22nd day of October
in the year of our Lord 1853 Mary McGladery
