Front: To Pauline
On the back is written "Gertie. Murray in the U.S.A."
"Somebody gave it to me a few years ago thinking that it might be a connection with my family tree. I have not found one.
My grand uncle professor Edward Hughes Dowling was married to a lady from Kildare called Cathy Murray. Nobody in
my family knows of a Gertie!
|My grandmother had this photograph in her possession. Unmarked as, unfortunately, all of her photos were. I "think"
it may be her sister, Anne Reilly, who was born in 1893 in Belturbet, Cavan. The last mention I have for
her is the 1911 census, where she is 18 and living with her mother and brothers in Belturbet. My grandmother was
the eldest daughter and came to Canada in 1906.
She went back to Ireland in 1912 and brought her youngest sister (there were three living sisters) back to Canada
with her. I knew "Auntie Nellie" very well and am fairly certain it isn't her--she had black hair. But they were very
secretive about any family back in Ireland so don't know for certain.
|I inherited this photo from my Grandmother and the football says CBS I suspect|
that this might be a photo from Ennis. Unfortunately there's no writing on it so
I can't be sure. It's definitely from Co. Clare.
The sign says "Winners 1911 Minor League"

|This photo was taken by T. Plimmer, located at 19 High St., Belfast who was |
established in 1850. She is either a Orr or a relative of a Orr. These Orrs
were from Sappagh Townland, Co. Donegal, Ireland. Who is she?
|Jan 2015||Robert Orr|
