She married Joseph Rushworth of the 60th regiment, Royal Rifles, at Beltarbet COI church on 18 October 1843. Joseph was then serving at Beltarbet barraks. They had 6 children before Joseph's death at Winchester in 1861. By 1881 Catherine Rushworth was a midwife living in Union Street, Portsea. She died at 11 Gloucester Street, Portsea, on 29 June 1890.
