Source: Facebook Laois People Worldwide A Graiguecullen man currently serving with the U.S. Armed forces in war-torn South Vietnam.He is Mr. Patrick (Dancer) Brennan formely a Graiguecullen footballer, who left for the U.S. Before enlistment in the army, he worked at Kings Park, Long Island. After service in Fort Gordon, Georgia, where he obtained a medal for being the best all-round soldier in the fort, he was presented with an inscribed cigarette case by his fellow soldiers. He was then transferred to Fort Lee, Virginia, where he received his first stripe after eight months service.His parents, Mr. and Mrs. Chris Brennan of 7 Sletty St, Graiguecullen, are the proud owners of a Quartermaster Diploma which their son received for a secretarial course.
He was drafted to Vietnam early in January.
