Browne-Clayton Papers Carlow November 1828.
The Information of Mary Kinsella of
Kellistown in the County of Carlow who being duly sworn
saith that on the 6th day of October last she changed a
Thirty Shilling note with James Hennessy of the town of
Carlow, Grocer - That she received as part of such
change from James Hennessy, a certain piece of Coin,
purporting to be a Gold Sovereign. Mary Kinsella then
passed the coin to Alexander Townsend and it has been
since returned as being a Counterfeit Sovereign, it is
the same she received from said James Hennessy.
Sworn before us at Carlow this 20th day
of November 1828,
